Which option suits you?
For windows and sliding doors
Shading outside the glass. We check the width, height and space for the headbox and guides.
Zip screens
A guided fabric for a neat fit. The suitable specification depends on dimensions, the wall and wind exposure.
Electric or solar
Choose suitable controls. For solar models we check the panel, battery and available sunlight.
The fabric determines light, views and privacy
A more open weave allows more visibility; a tighter fabric blocks more light. Colour and weave affect the view and the amount of daylight indoors, so we compare samples at your window. A screen can reduce overlooking during the day; with lights on indoors at night, privacy is not guaranteed. Curtains or other interior window coverings can complete the solution.
Wind, the wall and installation are part of the choice
We assess the available space, the strength of the fixing surface and obstacles such as handles or existing shutters. A guided screen is not automatically suitable for every wind condition. The operating limits of the selected system and dimensions still apply. In coastal locations the frame, guides and fabric also need regular cleaning according to the care instructions.
What determines the price of screens?
Width, height, fabric, frame colour, motor or solar specification and installation access determine the price together. A material-only price tells you little about a complete installed screen. Send photographs and approximate dimensions for an initial indication; we take final measurements and specify what supply and installation include.
Practical questions, clear answers
Can I still see outside through screens?
That depends on the fabric and lighting conditions. We show different weaves so you can compare the view and shading together.
Are screens the same as shutters?
No. Screens filter sunlight through fabric; shutters close the opening with slats and are generally more suitable for darkening a room.
Can screens be fitted to an existing home?
Often, yes. We check the fixing options, power or solar supply and clear space around the window.
Do you arrange installation?
We arrange advice, measuring, supply and installation within our service area. The specification and schedule are agreed in the quotation.
