Costa Blanca Floors - delivery & professional installation

Are you looking for a new floor for your home, apartment, or vacation house on the Costa Blanca? Port of Altea supplies and installs PVC floors, parquet, vinyl, carpet, and custom rugs. We guide the entire process: from material and color advice to subfloor preparation and professional installation.

Because homes in Spain often have existing tile floors, large windows, and a lot of direct sunlight, we look beyond just the appearance of a floor. The subfloor, temperature differences, home usage, and desired maintenance together determine which floor is truly suitable.

Discuss your flooring project with us or visit our showroom to see colors, textures, and large floor samples in person.

Wooden herringbone floor in a home on the Costa Blanca

Which floor suits your home in Spain?

The best floor is not the same for every home. In an apartment, impact noise can play an important role, while in a villa with large windows, sunlight and temperature differences require special attention. In a vacation or rental home, easy maintenance is often more important than in a permanently occupied home.

Therefore, we pay attention to:

  • the condition and flatness of the existing subfloor;
  • the presence of a tile floor;
  • permanent use, vacation use, or rental;
  • underfloor heating or cooling;
  • direct sunlight and large windows;
  • sound reduction in apartments;
  • maintenance, family composition, and pets;
  • the desired interior appearance.

Based on that, we recommend a floor that not only looks beautiful but also technically suits the home and lifestyle on the Costa Blanca.

Our floor collection

PVC floors

PVC floors are popular due to their durable, low-maintenance surface and realistic wood and stone designs. They are available as straight planks, herringbone, Hungarian point, and tile models.

Depending on the home, you can choose glued PVC or click-PVC. Glued PVC provides a sleek and quiet result but requires a flat and well-prepared subfloor. Click-PVC can be a practical solution for certain renovations when the existing floor must be preserved.

Parquet and wooden floors

Parquet gives a home a warm, natural look that cannot be fully replicated by a synthetic floor. By choosing the right wood type, construction, and finish, parquet can also be excellently applied in homes in Spain.

We advise on straight planks, herringbone, and Hungarian point, considering sun exposure, humidity, underfloor heating, and daily use of the space.

Vinyl floors

Vinyl rolls are comfortable, sound-absorbing, and easy to maintain. Because vinyl can be supplied in wide rolls, it can be installed in many rooms with few or even no seams. It is suitable for bedrooms, apartments, kitchens, and practically furnished holiday homes.

Carpet

Carpet brings warmth, softness, and better acoustics to the home. Especially in bedrooms, dressing rooms, and rooms with hard walls and floors, carpet can noticeably increase comfort. We supply wall-to-wall carpet and, if desired, also handle installation and finishing.

Custom rugs

Do you want to keep the existing floor but add more warmth, color, or acoustic comfort? Then a custom rug can be a great solution. Our rugs are available in various qualities, colors, and shapes, including rectangular, round, and organic.

PVC floor professionally installed in a Spanish home

A new floor over existing tiles

Many homes on the Costa Blanca already have a tile floor. It does not automatically need to be removed. When the tiles are stable and there are no serious moisture or height issues, a new floor can often be installed over the existing subfloor.

For glued PVC, the tile floor usually needs to be prepared and leveled first. Otherwise, joints and small height differences may become visible through the new floor later. Different requirements apply for click floors and some types of vinyl. The height at doors, sliding doors, kitchens, and stairs must also be checked in advance.

We first inspect the existing subfloor and then advise which construction is technically responsible. This way, you avoid unnecessary demolition work and problems later on.

Professional floor installation

The lifespan and appearance of a floor are largely determined by the installation. An expensive floor on a poorly prepared subfloor ultimately remains just an expensive mistake.

Depending on the project, we provide:

  • measuring the spaces;
  • inspection of the existing tile or screed floor;
  • moisture measurements where necessary;
  • preparation and leveling of the subfloor;
  • gluing or floating installation of the floor;
  • baseboards, profiles, and door connections;
  • a neat delivery of the space.

Frequently asked questions about floors on the Costa Blanca

Which floor is most suitable for a home in Spain?

That depends on the subfloor, the use of the home, sunlight, maintenance, and the desired appearance. PVC is durable and low-maintenance, parquet has a natural look, vinyl is comfortable and practical, and carpet offers extra warmth and acoustics.

Can a new floor be laid over Spanish tiles?

Yes, that is often possible if the tile floor is stable and technically suitable. For glued PVC, the subfloor usually needs to be prepared and leveled first. Doors, sliding doors, and available build-up height must also be checked.

What does a new floor cost on the Costa Blanca?

The total price is determined by the type of floor, the number of square meters, the laying pattern, the condition of the subfloor, and the desired finish. Leveling, skirting boards, profiles, and adjustments to doors can affect the final price.

Do you also take care of measuring and installing?

Yes. We can handle the entire process, including advice, measuring, inspection and preparation of the subfloor, delivery, installation, and finishing.

Do you also work in the southern Costa Blanca?

Yes. We carry out projects in both the northern and southern Costa Blanca, including Alicante, Santa Pola, Guardamar del Segura, Rojales, Torrevieja, and Orihuela Costa. The possibilities depend on the size and schedule of the project.

Can I view floor samples first?

Yes. In our showroom, you can view different floors, colors, and textures side by side. Large samples give a much better impression of a floor than a small image on a screen.
