Start with the sun and how you use the space
Less glare on the television, a more comfortable bedroom or shade over an outdoor dining table are different needs. We consider when sunlight is a problem, the construction of the wall and how open you want the space to feel. That guides the choice of fabric, slats, glass or a combination.
Compare solutions by what they do
An awning shades a seating area. A screen filters light before the window and often retains some visibility. A shutter provides a stronger closure and can darken a room. A pergola is a permanent terrace structure. Glass walls can shelter against wind, but sunny locations need ventilation and may require additional shading.
Choose the specification, appearance and fitting together
We consider fixing points, access, wind exposure, drainage where relevant and controls in the proposal. In apartments we discuss whether you need to check community rules for changes to the façade. Structural systems may have additional requirements. We discuss these before ordering, together with dimensions and scheduling.

It depends on the window, sun exposure and desired daylight. We compare screens and shutters for your situation.
Can different systems be combined?
Yes, for example screens at windows and an awning over a terrace, provided fixing and controls work together.
Do you also supply insect screens?
Yes, we offer fitted insect screens for windows, doors and sliding openings. They keep insects out and do not replace sun shading.
Can I see samples?
At our La Nucía showroom we compare materials, colours and systems. A home consultation can also be arranged.
