This allows you to match the character of the floor precisely to your interior.
Natural wood look with the comfort of high-quality PVC
The Embossed in Register (EIR) structure follows the wood grain of the design. As a result, the floor not only looks natural, but the texture also feels realistic.
The durable 0.55 mm wear layer and use class 23/34 make Porto Paris suitable for heavy domestic use and more intensive commercial use.
In addition, the floor is:
- water-resistant;
- easy to maintain;
- wear-resistant;
- non-slip;
- suitable for underfloor heating;
- suitable for residential and commercial applications.

What is the difference between Hungarian point and herringbone?
In a herringbone floor, the planks are positioned perpendicular to each other. With Hungarian point, the ends are placed against each other at an angle, creating clean V-shapes.
This gives the floor a more symmetrical and architectural appearance.
For those who like the character of herringbone but are looking for a slightly sleeker and more exclusive pattern, Hungarian point is a beautiful choice.
How much Porto Paris Hungarian Point do you need?
Enter the net number of square meters of your room in the calculator on this page.
The calculator automatically calculates how many full packs you need and uses 10% cutting waste as standard.
For a patterned floor such as Hungarian point, we certainly recommend allowing for at least 10% cutting waste, especially if you are laying it yourself and have little experience. For complex spaces or areas with many corners, additional material may be advisable.
Porto Paris Hungarian Point is sold exclusively per full pack of 1.75 m².
What else might you need?
As this is a Dryback PVC floor, depending on the existing subfloor you may also need:
- primer
- levelling compound
- PVC adhesive
- skirting boards
- transition profiles
A level and properly prepared subfloor is particularly important with Hungarian point. The pattern makes small irregularities more noticeable than a standard straight plank does.

Porto Paris Hungarian Point and underfloor heating
With a thermal resistance of just 0.04 m² K/W, this Dryback floor is ideally suited to underfloor heating.
Because the floor is glued directly to the subfloor, heat can be transferred efficiently.
Maintaining Porto Paris Hungarian Point PVC
PVC is easy to keep clean. Regular vacuuming and lightly damp mopping is usually sufficient.
First remove sand and small stones while dry to prevent fine scratches, and preferably use a floor cleaner suitable for PVC that does not leave greasy or sticky residue.
A floor that defines the interior
Hungarian point has a luxurious look all on its own. Combine Porto Paris with calm walls and natural materials for a refined whole, or choose dark skirting boards, brass accents, and rich fabrics for a more expressive interior.
