Many problems arise because appearance is chosen before technology. Anyone who considers dimensions, subfloor, installation, and daily use only after ordering makes custom work unnecessarily risky.

A bedroom, living room, rental apartment, or villa has different requirements. Therefore, note who uses the space, what inconvenience you currently experience, and what level of maintenance you consider acceptable. This helps prevent an attractive solution from becoming a daily disappointment.

What makes straight PVC planks interesting?

Straight PVC planks can create a strong, low-maintenance floor with plenty of choice in planks, tiles, and patterns. Quality is not determined by a single characteristic. Also consider dryback or click, wear layer, dimensional stability, leveling, and build-up height. Ask for an explanation of the complete floor build-up, not just the visible color or collection.

A sample is intended for assessing the material, but it does not automatically show how repetition, direction, pleat fall, or texture will look across a large surface. Therefore, view several samples in daylight and place them next to walls, the kitchen, furniture, and existing materials.

Technology before decoration

First check the base to which or on which the product will be installed. For floors, this concerns levelness, stability, moisture, existing tiles, doors, and skirting boards. For window coverings, this concerns the frame, wall, or ceiling; the free movement of windows, shutters, and handles; and the available installation space.

Temperature and sun exposure also play a role. Large expanses of glass can cause significant local heat. Materials must be suitable for their position and installed according to the technical specifications.

What determines a complete price?

Colour and appearance in Spanish light

Do not only look at the overall picture. Also check edges, joints, skirting boards, profiles, rails, supports, controls, and connections at doors or frames. Walk on or operate the product calmly and immediately ask about any detail that is unclear.
