Mart Visser rugs on the Costa Blanca
What should you really consider when choosing Mart Visser rugs on the Costa Blanca?
A good choice starts with more than just the colour. We also assess the fibre, pile height, edge finishing, size, shape and level of use. These factors determine whether a rug remains securely in place, feels comfortable underfoot and suits the home's everyday use. In an apartment, holiday home or villa on the Costa Blanca, exposure to sunlight, temperature fluctuations and an existing tiled floor can significantly influence the technical choice.
That is why you should not ask only about the price per square metre. Check what is included in the quotation: subfloor preparation, levelling, underlay, adhesive, skirting boards, cutting waste, transport and installation. Two quotations for the same area may technically include completely different services.
The subfloor determines the end result
A new floor can only be as good as its foundation. Loose tiles, deep joints, uneven levels, residual moisture and cracks must be assessed beforehand. A flat floor is not automatically a suitable floor; stability and adhesion are at least as important. During renovations, we also look at doors, sliding doors, kitchen skirting boards and transitions to other rooms.
By measuring accurately in advance, we prevent surprises during installation. We record what preparation is required and which system makes technical sense. Sometimes direct installation is possible; in other cases, levelling or local repairs are necessary. You cannot see that honest difference on a small colour sample, but you will see it in the final result.
Quality through Dutch suppliers
Port of Altea imports high-quality collections through Dutch suppliers. This enables us to offer materials with clear technical information, reliable collections and finishes that are not always available in the standard local range. That does not mean every expensive floor is automatically good: the product must also suit the room and the installation method.
In our showroom in La Nucía, you can view samples in daylight and compare different qualities side by side. If possible, bring photos, a floor plan and approximate measurements. This allows us to give much more targeted advice on material, colour, pattern and the preparation required.
Practical checks before you decide
- Which rooms are included and how intensively will they be used?
- Is there currently tilework, screed, wood or an existing floating floor?
- Are pets, abundant sunlight or underfloor heating important factors?
- Does the home need to remain accessible during the work?
- Which skirting board, transition and finish suit the doors and frames?
A complete plan prevents the choice of materials and the installation from being ordered separately. For the Mart Visser rugs on the Costa Blanca page, we provide advice, measuring, delivery and professional installation throughout our service area on the Costa Blanca.
