Why choose high-quality vinyl flooring on the Costa Blanca?

High-quality sheet vinyl is comfortable, quiet and available in convincing wood, stone and concrete looks. The wide roll makes it possible to finish many rooms with few seams. Quality is determined not only by the design, but also by the protective layer, stability, indentation resistance and backing construction.

For homes where practical use must not come at the expense of appearance, it is especially important to maintain a balance between visual appeal and practical properties. We therefore compare samples in suitable light and discuss in advance which expectations are realistic regarding wear, cleaning, heat and sound.

Quality from Dutch collections

Our floors are brought to Spain through Dutch suppliers. This provides access to a broad and up-to-date range, clear product information and qualities that are not always available in the local standard range. We select not only by brand name or sales pitch, but according to the suitability of each product for your project.

At our showroom in La Nucía, you can view materials alongside one another. This is important because surface texture, sheen, pile and colour react differently in bright daylight than on a screen. Bring photos and approximate measurements so that we can make a focused selection.

Subfloor and technical preparation

Vinyl closely follows the subfloor. Tile joints, indentations and differences in height can become visible later and therefore require preparation. We assess roll direction, the required welding or cutting lines, connections and how the material will be fixed or glued.

We also check whether existing tiles are firmly bonded, whether joints need to be levelled and whether there are signs of moisture or cracking. Doors, kitchen plinths, sliding doors and transitions can determine the maximum possible build-up height.

Suitable for living on the Costa Blanca

Large glass surfaces, direct sunlight and homes that sometimes remain closed for weeks require attention. Ventilation, air conditioning and shading affect the indoor climate; flooring material must be stored and installed according to the technical requirements. In apartments, we also consider impact sound and the rules of the comunidad.

For a holiday home, easy maintenance may be particularly important, while softness and quietness may matter more in a bedroom. In a permanently occupied villa, continuous sightlines and connections to the kitchen and stairs often take centre stage. The same product is therefore not automatically the best choice for every room.

Colour, direction and finish

A carefully planned roll layout prevents unnecessary seams and awkward leftover strips. With wood designs, we pay attention to plank direction and pattern repeat; with concrete and stone looks, to the distribution of the design. Skirting boards and transition profiles are selected as part of the overall look.

We recommend viewing material samples together with wall colours, kitchen fronts and curtains. Cool grey can appear harsher in Spanish sunlight; warm oak tones may look more yellow. A calm mid-tone is often more forgiving of sand and daily use than an extremely light or dark colour.

Maintenance and lifespan

Vinyl is easy to keep clean when sand is removed regularly and only a small amount of cleaning product is used. Avoid aggressive solvents and rubber or plasticiser-containing caps, which can cause discolouration. Protect heavy furniture and do not allow spilled liquids to run beneath the edges.

When the floor is handed over, ask which cleaner and protection are suitable for the chosen floor. Maintenance advice should be specific: how often to clean, how much product to use and what to do in the event of stains or damage. This prevents well-intentioned but harmful cleaning experiments.

What determines the price?

The price consists of more than just the material. Area, cutting waste, pattern, preparation, adhesive or underlay, skirting boards, profiles, transport and accessibility all count. A straight, empty room is planned differently from an occupied apartment with many doors and fixed pieces of furniture.
