Care & use
How to keep wrapped surfaces looking beautiful.
A neat finish stays looking beautiful for longer when the care is suited to the material and its intended use. A wrapped cabinet door, worktop and counter are not exposed to the same level of wear. That is why you receive project-specific advice based on the chosen CoverStyl reference and how the surface is used.

A good choice starts here
What should you look out for?
Not every surface and not every application requires the same approach. These points determine what is both attractive and technically sensible.
01Daily cleaning
As a general rule, use a soft cloth and a mild cleaning product. If in doubt, test it first in an inconspicuous area and always follow the product-specific instructions. Abrasive sponges, aggressive solvents and sharp objects can damage a decorative finish.
02Heat, water and cutting
Use a cutting board and trivets on a potentially wrapped worktop. Do not allow water to remain along seams or damaged edges for extended periods. The technical limits for heat, moisture and wear vary by reference and application. Ask about these points explicitly in advance if the surface will be used intensively every day.
03Report damage promptly
Has an edge come loose or has a surface been damaged? Do not pull at it and do not try to repair the area with just any adhesive. Take photos and get in touch so that the installer can assess what has happened and which solution is appropriate.
04Maintenance is part of the material choice
A different finish may be needed for a hotel reception desk or holiday home than for a decorative panel at home. That is why we consider the intended use when choosing the film, not only after the work has been completed.

Good to know in advance
The result lies in the details.
A safe cleaning routine
First remove dust or loose dirt with a soft cloth. Then clean with a mild product according to the instructions for the relevant film and dry afterwards where necessary. Do not use aggressive limescale removers, scouring powders or hard brushes on a decorative finish without due care. If you are unfamiliar with a product, testing it in an inconspicuous area is advisable.
Protect the most heavily used areas
On tabletops or worktops, cutting boards and trivets help prevent damage from sharp objects or heat. It is better to lift heavy objects than slide them across the surface. Wipe up spilled water and dirt promptly, especially along seams and edges. The permitted load may vary by CoverStyl reference, so ask for the product-specific instructions.
What if something does get damaged?
Take clear photos of the area and its surroundings. Do not use just any adhesive, solvent or hot hairdryer to fix an edge yourself; this can make repairs more difficult. Note when you first noticed the damage and how the surface is used. This enables Envoltura to assess whether repair is possible and what it requires.
Frequently asked questions
Clear before you decide
A film can change a great deal, but it cannot solve every technical problem. That is why we always assess the underlying surface first.
Can I use a scouring sponge?
It is better to use a soft cloth; follow the maintenance instructions for the selected film.
Are all films equally scratch-resistant?
No. The properties vary by product reference and collection.
Can I use a steam cleaner?
Do not assume that without product advice. Heat and moisture can affect each film and finish differently.
Where can I find the correct maintenance instructions?
When the work is completed, ask for the instructions and exact reference of the film applied to your surface.
