Blackout Duette® shades with tape-frame installation in Mascarat

For this home in Mascarat, we installed blackout Duette® shades in a uPVC door. The customer’s wishes were clear: maximum blackout, more privacy, and a neat finish without having to drill into the frame.

That is why we chose a tape-frame system. This allows the frame to be attached directly to the window frame without screws or damage to the door.

The challenge

Drilling is not always desirable for uPVC doors and tilt-and-turn windows. Nevertheless, the window covering must be securely attached and remain neatly in place when the door is opened and closed.

In addition, the customer wanted to darken the room as much as possible without adding heavy curtains or other window coverings.
