Why complete guidance?

In a home in Spain, flooring, window coverings, furniture, lighting and outdoor areas often involve different suppliers. Without central planning, incorrect measurements, duplicate trips and products that literally get in each other’s way can result. One point of contact safeguards consistency and order.

We start with function: who uses the home, permanently or temporarily, are there children, pets or rental guests, and how much maintenance is desired? Only then do colour and style follow. An interior should survive not only the first photograph, but also real daily life.

Assessment and interior plan

We collect floor plans, photographs, measurements, handover information and existing elements. In the home, we check floors, windows, doors, sockets, light points and routes through the space. For new-build properties, we look at which decisions can be prepared before the key handover.

The plan divides choices into logically connected components. Whatever needs to come first technically or because of delivery times is given priority. This means you do not have to discover on the day the floor is installed that a cabinet cannot fit through the door or that a curtain rail clashes with the air conditioning.

Flooring as the foundation

The floor determines colour, acoustics, maintenance and the appearance of all rooms. We assess the existing subfloor, levelness, moisture, build-up height and connections to doors. We then compare PVC, vinyl, laminate and carpet, among other options, based on use and technical suitability.

Window coverings and sunlight

Window coverings provide privacy, control light and atmosphere, and contribute to thermal comfort. Large sliding doors require different solutions from bedrooms or narrow tilt-and-turn windows. Fabric, pleat, rail, operating side and mounting surface are selected and measured together.

Interior and exterior sun protection can complement each other. A curtain finishes the room, while a screen helps keep heat out before it reaches the glass. We prevent separate systems from requiring the same mounting space, cable route or movement zone.

Furniture, rugs and layout

A good layout starts with circulation routes and proportions. Sofas, dining tables and beds must fit without making the room feel cramped. We consider seat height, comfort, sightlines, door swings and the connection to the terrace or balcony.

Rugs bring zones together and improve acoustics. Their size is matched to the furniture arrangement rather than chosen as a separate decorative island. Colours and materials are preferably viewed alongside flooring, fabrics and wall finishes in the actual light.

A second home or holiday home

A home that is unoccupied for part of the year requires robust, low-maintenance choices and clear controls. For rental properties, replaceability, cleaning and broad appeal also matter. This does not mean everything has to be dull or cheap; it means every euro has a purpose.

If you are not continuously in Spain, we record decisions, measurements and planning clearly. Access and key management are agreed in advance. Photos and updates are helpful, but we preferably assess important material and colour choices using samples or a clearly agreed reference.

Planning, delivery and installation

The installation sequence prevents damage and remedial work. Floor preparation comes first, painting and rails must be completed at the right time, and deliveries require sufficient free storage space. We plan realistically around delivery times; custom work does not happen faster because you call angrily every day.

At handover, we check installation, operation and visible finishing. Outstanding points are recorded. This keeps it clear what is complete, what is still to come and who is responsible.

What determines the budget?

The budget is influenced by floor area, number of rooms, material level, amount of custom work, furniture, accessibility and installation. We distinguish between essential basics, comfort improvements and luxury choices. This makes it possible to adjust specific elements without dismantling the entire design.

A complete quote is more valuable than a low individual product price. Check whether measuring, transport, installation, subfloor work, removal and adjustment are included. Allowing for unexpected construction-related issues prevents the final room from being abandoned because all the contingency has already been spent on decoration.

Common mistakes

The biggest mistake is ordering individual products too early. A sofa can be beautiful and still block the circulation route; curtains can be perfect and still remain uninstalled because the rail position was never checked. The Spanish sun is also often underestimated when it comes to colour, heat and fading.

A second mistake is basing the schedule on the most favourable delivery time. Projects require decisions, production, transport and installation. We prefer to work with a feasible schedule and clear dependencies rather than a fantasy date that everyone later has to explain.
