UZIN NC 105 Self-Leveling Gypsum Compound – 20 kg

The UZIN NC 105 is a self-leveling gypsum compound based on calcium sulfate for layer thicknesses of up to 15 mm. The product has excellent flow properties and forms a smooth, virtually stress-free surface after drying.

Because virtually no stress develops during the drying process, UZIN NC 105 is particularly suitable for anhydrite floors, renovation substrates, and substrates susceptible to deformation. Even with thicker leveling layers and longer drying times, the risk of cracking remains limited.

The leveling compound is suitable for manual application and pumping and can be used indoors in residential and commercial areas subject to medium traffic.

The stated times apply at approximately 20 °C and a relative humidity of 65%. Temperature, humidity, and layer thickness can affect the drying time.

UZIN NC 105 can be used, in combination with the correct preparation and primer, on, among others:

The leveling compound is suitable as a substrate for textile and resilient floor coverings. Do not use the product under parquet or synthetic resin-based poured floors without additional technical advice.

From a layer thickness of 1 mm, the leveling compound is suitable for loads from castor wheels in accordance with DIN EN 12529.


Substrate preparation

The substrate must be compression-resistant and dimensionally stable, permanently dry, clean, and free of cracks. Dust, dirt, grease, loose particles, and other substances that could reduce adhesion must be completely removed.

Calcium sulfate and anhydrite screeds must be checked for weak surface layers. Remove them if necessary by wire brushing or sanding. Then vacuum the substrate thoroughly.

Treat the substrate with a suitable primer. A properly applied and fully dried primer promotes adhesion, prevents the mixing water from being absorbed too quickly, and reduces the risk of air craters and pinholes.


Mixing and application

Pour 4.4 litres of clean, cold water into a clean mixing tub. Then gradually add the entire contents of the 20 kg bag.

Mix the material mechanically with a suitable basket mixer until a smooth, homogeneous and lump-free compound is obtained. Then pour the levelling compound onto the substrate and spread it evenly with a smoothing trowel or levelling rake.

Immediately after spreading, use a spiked roller to remove air bubbles and achieve an even surface.

Preferably do not sand the dry levelling layer. If sanding is nevertheless necessary, the surface must then be thoroughly vacuumed. If specified, apply a thin coat of UZIN PE 360 PLUS to the surface before bonding, diluted with water at a ratio of 1:1, and allow it to dry for at least one hour.


Consumption

The average consumption is approximately 1.6 kg per m² per millimetre of layer thickness.

Note: the table you provided still included surface areas applicable to a 25 kg bag. For a Dutch 20 kg bag, the calculations above are correct.

For thicker layers, always check that the levelling layer is sufficiently dry before bonding. Climate, substrate and ventilation affect the drying time.
