UZIN KE 66 HT is a fiber-reinforced, very high-shear-strength wet-bed dispersion adhesive for PVC design flooring, dryback LVT, PVC, vinyl and rubber flooring up to 4 mm thick.
The fiber reinforcement reduces the risk of the floor covering shifting and changing dimensions. It also minimizes the indentation sensitivity of resilient floors. This makes the adhesive particularly suitable for intensively used areas and floor surfaces exposed to strong temperature fluctuations after curing.
After complete curing, the bond is resistant to temperatures from –20 °C to +70 °C. This makes UZIN KE 66 HT suitable for, among other things, rooms with large glass façades, entrance areas and other indoor areas where the floor may heat up or cool down significantly.

Suitable applications
The high shear strength and temperature resistance make UZIN KE 66 HT suitable for, among other things:
- Homes with large windows
- Conservatories and areas with high solar exposure
- Entrance areas
- Shops
- Offices
- Care facilities
- Hospitals
- Schools
- Public buildings
- Commercial project areas
- Intensively used indoor areas
- Floors with hot-water underfloor heating
The stated temperature resistance applies exclusively to the fully cured adhesive layer. The suitability of the selected floor covering for the same temperature load must be checked separately.
Suitable substrates
UZIN KE 66 HT is intended for flat, load-bearing, permanently dry and absorbent substrates. For reliable wet-bed bonding, the floor is generally levelled first with a suitable UZIN levelling compound.
Suitable substrates include:
- Cement-based levelling layers
- Gypsum-based levelling layers
- Flat and absorbent renovation substrates
- Professionally prepared floors with underfloor heating
- Levelled substrates with UZIN EasyLift Primer
Combination with UZIN EasyLift Primer
UZIN KE 66 HT can be used in combination with UZIN EasyLift Primer. This system build-up makes it easier to remove suitable floor coverings later, leaving less adhesive and levelling-compound residue on the floor covering.
Use this combination exclusively in accordance with UZIN's system specifications.
Substrate preparation
The substrate must be:
- Load-bearing and dimensionally stable
- Permanently dry
- Flat and smooth
- Clean and dust-free
- Evenly absorbent
- Free of cracks
- Free of oil, grease, wax and other adhesion-impairing substances
Remove loose sections, weak layers and inadequately bonded adhesive or levelling-compound residue. Sand the substrate if necessary, then vacuum it thoroughly.
Use a suitable UZIN primer and levelling compound to create a flat, evenly absorbent substrate. With resilient floor coverings, even minor irregularities may become visible later, so here “it will level itself out” is usually about as reliable as a weather forecast for three weeks from now.
Application
- Allow the unopened container to reach application temperature before use.
- Stir the adhesive thoroughly.
- Apply UZIN KE 66 HT evenly using the notched trowel specified for the floor covering.
- Do not apply more adhesive than can be installed within the available working time.
- Observe the specified open time.
- Lay the floor covering into the still-wet adhesive bed.
- Carefully rub or roll the floor covering.
- Ensure that the adhesive ridges are completely flattened.
- Roll the surface again after approximately 20 minutes.
- Pay particular attention to seams, end edges and raised sections.
- Remove fresh adhesive residue immediately with water.
The appropriate trowel notch depends on the floor covering, the backing structure and the manufacturer's instructions.
Open time and working times
At approximately 20 °C and 65% relative humidity:
| Application | Flash-off time |
|---|---|
| PVC, LVT, and rubber tiles or planks | approx. 5–10 minutes |
| Sheet flooring | approx. 20–25 minutes |
| Property | Time |
|---|---|
| Open time | approx. 20 minutes |
| Ready for mechanical loading | after approx. 24 hours |
| Welding seams or grouting | after approx. 24 hours |
| Final strength | after approx. 3 days |
The times may vary depending on temperature, humidity, adhesive consumption, substrate, and type of floor covering.
Temperature conditions
- Minimum substrate temperature during application: 15 °C
- Optimal ambient temperature during application: 18–20 °C
- Temperature resistance after full curing: –20 °C to +70 °C
The floor may only be subjected to heavy thermal or mechanical loads after full curing.
Consumption
The official consumption is approximately 170–260 g/m².
| Consumption | Coverage per 14 kg bucket |
|---|---|
| 170 g/m² | approx. 82.4 m² |
| 200 g/m² | approx. 70.0 m² |
| 220 g/m² | approx. 63.6 m² |
| 240 g/m² | approx. 58.3 m² |
| 260 g/m² | approx. 53.8 m² |
Actual consumption is determined by the trowel notch, the backing of the floor covering, and the structure of the substrate.

Reduced CO₂ emissions
According to UZIN’s own internal calculation, this product has more than 90% lower CO₂ emissions according to the ECO₂CHOICE calculation method used by UZIN.
Because this is an internal calculation value from the manufacturer, I would not simply write “90% more sustainable” in the online store. It sounds appealing, but technically means something quite different.
Why choose UZIN KE 66 HT?
UZIN KE 66 HT was developed for projects where a standard PVC adhesive does not provide sufficient dimensional stability or temperature resistance.
The fiber reinforcement provides high shear strength and reduces the indentation sensitivity of PVC, LVT, and rubber. After full curing, the bond remains reliable at temperatures from –20 °C to +70 °C.
