UZIN NC 585 F FusionTec is a self-levelling, fibre-reinforced compound for levelling old, mixed, and critical substrates. The combination of fibre reinforcement, high load-bearing capacity, and virtually stress-free curing makes this product particularly suitable for renovations, wooden substrates, and substrates susceptible to movement.

The levelling compound can be applied in layer thicknesses of 3 to 20 mm and forms a strong, smooth base for textile and resilient floor coverings and parquet. Thanks to its excellent flow properties, the material can be distributed efficiently with a levelling rake with R3 teeth.

The exact preparation and required primer depend on the type and condition of the substrate.

Substrate preparation

The substrate must be load-bearing, dimensionally stable, permanently dry, clean, and free of cracks. Remove dust, oil, grease, loose particles, and other substances that may reduce adhesion.

Poorly bonded layers, old coating residues, and loose adhesive or levelling compound residues must be removed by sanding, brushing, or milling. Then vacuum the substrate thoroughly and use a suitable UZIN primer.

Wooden floorboards and sheet materials must be stable, sufficiently screwed down, and free from excessive movement. Always consult the latest product data sheet and UZIN instructions before application.

Mixing and application

Use 4.0 litres of clean, cold water per 20 kg bag.

1. Pour the water into a clean mixing tub.

2. Gradually add the entire contents of the bag while mixing.

3. Mix mechanically with a suitable paddle mixer until a homogeneous, lump-free compound is obtained.

4. Pour the levelling compound onto the prepared substrate.

5. Spread the material evenly using a smoothing trowel or levelling rake with R3 teeth.

6. If possible, apply the desired layer thickness in a single operation.

Under normal conditions, the working time is approximately 25 to 35 minutes. Do not apply more material than can be installed within this time.

Consumption

Average consumption is approximately 1.6 kg per m² per mm of layer thickness.

Actual consumption may vary depending on the roughness and flatness of the substrate.

Drying and working times

At a temperature of 20 °C and a relative humidity of 65%, the following approximate times apply:

• Working time: 25–35 minutes

• Walkable: after approximately 1.5–2 hours

• Ready for floor covering installation: after approximately 6 hours

Lower temperatures, higher humidity and thicker layers may extend the drying time.
