UZIN NC 182 Moisture-Resistant Repair and Leveling Mortar – 20 kg

UZIN NC 182 is a moisture-resistant, stable cement-based repair and levelling mortar. The product is suitable for filling and repairing holes, breaks, grooves, and other damage before the floor is levelled or covered with flooring.

The mortar can be applied at any desired layer thickness and, thanks to its very fine structure, can be finished smoothly down to virtually zero millimetres. Due to its rapid curing, UZIN NC 182 is ready for foot traffic after approximately 40 to 50 minutes and ready for further flooring work after approximately 60 minutes.

During application, mixed material can be stirred again. This reactivates the mortar and keeps it workable for longer without adding extra water.

Key properties

  • Moisture-resistant cement-based repair mortar
  • Resistant to alkaline moisture
  • Stable and easy to shape
  • Can be reactivated by remixing
  • Working time of approximately 15 to 20 minutes
  • Ready for foot traffic after approximately 40 to 50 minutes
  • Ready for flooring installation after approximately 60 minutes
  • Suitable for any layer thickness
  • Very fine surface texture
  • Can be finished down to virtually zero
  • Suitable for thin repairs and deep holes
  • Suitable for underfloor heating
  • For indoor use

The stated times apply at approximately 20 °C and a relative humidity of 65%. Temperature, humidity, and layer thickness may affect curing.

Suitable substrates and applications

UZIN NC 182 can be applied, with the appropriate preparation and primer, to, among others:

  • Cement screeds
  • Concrete
  • Old substrates with well-adhering water-resistant adhesive residues
  • Screwed particleboards of classes P3, P5, and P7
  • Screwed OSB boards of classes OSB 2 to OSB 4
  • Ceramic tile floors
  • Natural stone floors
  • Terrazzo floors
  • Existing and new mastic asphalt floors
  • Magnesite and wood magnesite
  • Cement fibreboards
  • Gypsum fibreboards
  • Substrates with underfloor heating

The product is suitable, among other things, for:

  • Filling holes and grooves
  • Repairing broken or damaged flooring
  • Levelling local differences in height
  • Patching floor surfaces
  • Creating smooth transitions down to virtually zero
  • Repairing steps and landings
  • Preliminary repairs before levelling or bonding

From a layer thickness of 1 mm, the repair layer is suitable for loads from castors in accordance with DIN EN 12529.

Substrate preparation

The substrate must be load-bearing, dimensionally stable, permanently dry, clean, and free of cracks. Dust, dirt, grease, loose particles, and other substances that could impair adhesion must be completely removed.

Weak or poorly bonded layers must be sanded, milled, or removed by another suitable method. Then vacuum the substrate thoroughly and, if necessary, treat it with a suitable primer.

Before application, always consult the current product data sheet and UZIN's application instructions.

Mixing and application

Depending on the desired consistency, use 4.6 to 5.4 liters of clean, cold water per 20 kg bag.

First pour the water into a clean mixing tub. Then gradually add the powder and mechanically mix the material with a suitable basket mixer until a homogeneous, lump-free mixture is obtained.

Apply the mortar directly to the substrate and spread it with a smoothing trowel. If possible, apply the desired layer thickness in a single operation.

Material that becomes stiffer during application can be stirred again. Do not add any extra water. Remixing makes the mortar easier to work with again.

Thicker layers

For layer thicknesses greater than 10 mm, UZIN NC 182 can be filled with up to 50% quartz sand with a grain size of 0.3 to 0.8 mm.

For deep repairs, large areas, and unusual substrates, always check the current technical product data sheet or ask UZIN for project-specific advice.

Coverage

Average coverage is approximately 1.5 kg per m² per millimeter of layer thickness.

Layer thickness Coverage Area per 20 kg bag
1 mm approximately 1.5 kg/m² approximately 13.3 m²
3 mm approximately 4.5 kg/m² approximately 4.4 m²
10 mm approximately 15 kg/m² approximately 1.3 m²

Actual coverage depends on the repair depth, surface texture, and selected consistency.
