UZIN NC 567 FusionTec Self-Leveling Thin Screed – 20 kg

UZIN NC 567 FusionTec is a self-leveling, virtually stress-free thin screed for layer thicknesses of 3 to 50 mm. The product can be used as a bonded screed and as an unbonded screed on a separation layer.

Thanks to its good flow properties and long working time, UZIN NC 567 is suitable for large areas and application with pumping systems. The product forms a level, stable, and absorbent substrate for textile and resilient floor coverings, parquet, ceramic tiles, and natural stone.

The thin screed can also be used for embedding and filling hot-water and electric underfloor heating systems. UZIN NC 567 is also a system component of the UZIN Turbolight System CA.

The stated times apply at approximately 20 °C and 65% relative humidity. Temperature, humidity, substrate, and layer thickness have a significant influence on drying time.

Suitable substrates

UZIN NC 567 can be used, in combination with the appropriate preparation and system build-up, on, among other substrates:

  • Cement screeds
  • Calcium sulfate and anhydrite screeds
  • Concrete
  • Magnesite and wood magnesite
  • Screwed-down chipboards of classes P4 through P7
  • Screwed-down OSB boards of classes OSB 2 through OSB 4
  • Wooden floorboards
  • Existing mastic asphalt floors
  • Suitable underfloor heating systems

Over chipboard, OSB, wooden floorboards, and mastic asphalt, the maximum layer thickness is 10 mm unless UZIN recommends otherwise for the relevant system build-up.

The floor is suitable for normal loads in residential and commercial areas and for loads from swivel castors in accordance with DIN EN 12529.


Minimum layer thicknesses

  • As a bonded layer: minimum 3 mm
  • Over a separating layer: minimum 25 mm
  • Over a separating layer in combination with UZIN RR 201 renovation fleece: minimum 20 mm
  • Over chipboard, OSB, wooden floorboards, and mastic asphalt: maximum 10 mm

For floating or unbonded constructions, the complete floor assembly must be assessed technically in advance.


Substrate preparation

The substrate must be load-bearing, stable, dry, and free of cracks, dust, dirt, oil, and grease.

For bonded applications, all poorly bonded or bond-inhibiting layers must be completely removed by brushing, sanding, milling, or dust-free shot blasting. Then vacuum the substrate thoroughly.

Install suitable UZIN edge insulation strips along walls, columns, pipes, and other vertical building elements. Depending on the type and condition of the substrate, use a suitable primer and allow it to dry completely.

When applying over a separating layer, the load-bearing substrate must be clean and free of loose particles. Install the film or separating layer flat, without folds, and with sufficient overlap.


Mixing and application

Pour 3.2 liters of clean, cold water into a clean mixing tub. Then gradually add the entire contents of the 20 kg bag.

Mix the material mechanically with a suitable basket mixer until a homogeneous, lump-free consistency is achieved. Then pour the material onto the substrate and spread it evenly with a smoothing trowel or a squeegee for large areas.

UZIN NC 567 can also be pumped mechanically. If necessary, use a spiked roller to remove trapped air and improve flow.

Preferably apply the required layer thickness in a single operation.

Average consumption is approximately 1.8 kg per m² per millimetre of layer thickness.

Actual consumption depends on the layer thickness, the evenness of the substrate and the selected system build-up.
