Porto Hungarian Point PVC vloer – Port of Altea showroom Altea Costa Blanca

Refined pattern, natural tones and the appearance of real wood

The Porto Herringbone PVC combines a luxurious pattern with a calm, timeless appearance. The natural and beige tones make this floor particularly suitable for interiors centered around warmth, tranquillity and refinement.

What is the difference between chevron and herringbone?

In a herringbone floor, the planks are placed perpendicular to one another. In Chevron the planks meet at an angle, creating clean V-shapes.

This gives the floor a more symmetrical and architectural appearance.

For those seeking the luxurious look of a patterned floor but preferring a calmer, cleaner overall appearance than traditional herringbone, chevron is an excellent choice.

How much Porto Herringbone do you need?

Enter the net number of square metres in your room into the calculator on this page.

The calculator automatically calculates how many full packs you need and by default allows for 10% cutting waste for.

Are you installing the floor yourself and have little or no experience? Allow for at least 10% cutting waste. With a complex pattern or many corners, extra material may be advisable.

Porto Herringbone is sold exclusively per full pack of 1.003 m² sold.

What else might you need?

Because this is a Dryback PVC floor, depending on the existing subfloor you may also need:

  • primer
  • levelling compound
  • PVC adhesive
  • skirting boards
  • transition profiles

A level and properly prepared subfloor is especially important for herringbone, because minor deviations in the pattern become visible more quickly.

Below this page you will find our flooring accessories.

Porto Herringbone and underfloor heating

With a thermal resistance of 0.04 m² K/W this floor is highly suitable for underfloor heating.

Because Dryback PVC is glued directly to the subfloor, heat can be transferred efficiently.

Maintenance of Porto Herringbone PVC

PVC is easy to keep clean. Regular vacuuming and lightly damp mopping are usually sufficient.

First remove sand and small stones while dry to prevent fine scratches, and preferably use a cleaning product suitable for PVC that does not leave a greasy or sticky residue.

A calm foundation with character

Porto Herringbone combines beautifully with light walls, natural fabrics, and warm wood tones. For a more modern contrast, you can combine the floor with black details or tall skirting boards.
